Meet Mona Garber

Prior to establishing Triad, Mona Garber had a proven professional real estate asset management career extended over twenty-five years and has serviced many public and private real estate institutional owners such as JP Morgan Chase, CB Richard Ellis Investors, Grubb Ellis, Trammell Crow Company, the City of Los Angeles, and the Community Colleges of Los Angeles. Additionally, Mona worked with KPMG LLP’s Real Estate Practice for five years as the Director of Real Estate Services for the Western Region. Her multi-years of experience include the operational, marketing, and financial perspectives necessary for a comprehensive approach to real estate.

Representative Accomplishments

• Senior management leadership role in mixed use asset valued at $ 2 billion including 5 million square foot: Single asset contained 100,000 square feet of retail requiring repositioning and/or development.
• Leadership role in development of special use entertainment program for 4 acre park under construction.
• Operational audit for national women’s clothes retailer’s real estate department.
• City of Los Angeles real estate purchase analysis and recommendations of office building.
• Port of Los Angeles operation and recommendation study of commercial pier re-development with private joint venture to include marina and retail use.
• Operational review of third party management for all owned retail and office buildings in their portfolio for Irvine Company.
• Annual Operations and Management review large for Kilroy REIT: a real estate investment trust. 
• Annual Operation Audit for the $2 Billion construction bond program for Los Angeles Community Colleges nine campuses. Assignment was for a five year period including entire the start up coordination. Over 160 rehab and new development projects. Project included weekly coordination with all public and private components. Reported to the Board of Trustees and directly to the College Chancellor.
• Annual Operations Audit for 2 million square foot multi-use property in downtown Los Angeles which included retail mall, office building, and hotel for Kennedy Wilson.
• Due Diligence assignment for sale/purchase of multi-use property in downtown Los Angeles which included retail mall, office building, and hotel for Kennedy Wilson.
• Expert Witness for Landlord, Jamison Properties, in case related to Common Area Expense reimbursements for a retail center.
• Asset management and re-positioning assignment relating to 150,000 square foot retail center in Delray Beach, Florida for Meladon IX,  LLC.
• Senior management position for Property Management Company related to the oversight of 50 shopping centers in the western United States totally 9 million square feet with 1580 tenants valued at $900 million.
• Director position with real estate investment owner with control of 130 assets including retail and office uses in 23 states with a aggregated value of $306 million.

Background

Mona Garber received her Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago and her Bachelors of Arts from the University of Miami.

Mona has a Real Estate Broker License in the State of Florida. She is a Certified Property Manager with the Instituteof Real Estate Managementand is a member of the International Shopping Center Council, (ICSC).
